Hi

Just to say hi and to let you know that you'll have a great time if you do this session (I guarantee it).

I've lost track of the number of people who having start off a bit dubious about riding the track, leave the velodrome totally buzzing and wanting more.

You'll learn some new skills too which will cross over into your road riding.

All in all it's a great way to have fun, learn some stuff and to meet some other members of the club.

Hi

Just to clarify, if you need a hire bike we need to let the velodrome know in advance so they can sort you with the right size bike.

So, anyone who will need one, please drop me a line on here or via a PM and we can sort it.

Also they come with old style Look cleats (not Keo's) or even older style toe-clips.

Thanks Ronan.

What pedal set up do you want. Old style Look or toe straps (you'd wear trainers with these).

More generally, if you're new to this pedals mullarky, you can still buy old style Look cleats for your shoes at any decent bike shop. Just make sure they're not the newer Keo ones as they don't fit.

They come in different colours which denote how much side to side ankle and knee movement you have. I suggest the red ones as they have the most.

You can change cleats yourself with a screwdriver or allen key. Bound to be vids on youtube about it.

Anyone else signed-up for the fun of the track and need a bike?

Hi just signed two places. Sorry for probably stupid question (never been at Velodrome), can I use my road bike or do I need to hire their special bike?

Hi

Need a special bike for the track. You can hire though. If you give me your height (and the other persons) I can work out the size you need and organise it. You pay the velodrome directly on the day. It's about £15 from memory.

Just signed up, I'll need a bike. I am 6ft.

And you'll have to forgive the ignorance, but are Shimano cleats compatible with the Look Pedals?
